The Lockhart Central School difference
A strong start
Our school welcomes students from all backgrounds, creating a place where every child feels safe, included and ready to learn from their very first day. At Lockhart Central School, we focus on building strong foundations—supporting each student to grow with confidence, curiosity and a sense of belonging.
Growth in the classroom and beyond
We offer our students a wide range of subjects, pathways and opportunities—both in and beyond the classroom. This empowers them to learn deeply, develop essential skills, explore new experiences and discover their passions with confidence. Through the High Potential and Gifted Education, we recognise and nurture each student’s unique strengths, using what they do well to build positive engagement and support their continued growth.
Support for every family
Our teachers, learning support staff and wellbeing teams work closely with families to understand each student’s needs. Together, we co-design plans that help every child learn in the way that works best for them, ensuring they feel supported, confident and ready to succeed.
Principal's message
"Welcome to Lockhart Central School — a place where every student is known, supported, and empowered to grow. As a proud rural K–12 school, we provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where respect, curiosity, and genuine care for one another shape daily life.
Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to deliver high-quality learning from Kindergarten through Year 12, supported by strong partnerships with families and our wider community. For our senior students, we are proud to offer an extensive range of curriculum pathways through the Riverina Access Partnership, ensuring Years 11 and 12 students have access to specialist subjects, expert teachers, and rich learning opportunities regardless of our rural setting.
I invite you to explore our website and discover what makes Lockhart Central School such a special place — from our commitment to wellbeing and high expectations, to our focus on strong literacy and numeracy foundations, innovative teaching, and meaningful opportunities for every learner.
We look forward to welcoming you into our school community."
